This week we have been learning about hooks.Miss Dixon did a science experiment with us called tie dye milk. We had to write at least one of each hook to explain the method. The hooks we had to use were Short staccato sentence, direct speech, a rhetorical question and an onomatopoeia sentence. In my group was Stella, Jessica, Jorja W, Drezique and I. We came up with one sentence for each hook. Our one worked but the one next to us failed because they weren't patient and mixed it without putting the dishwashing liquid in. I had brought in my polaroid camera so I took 3 pictures of our experiment. I was walking around looking at everybody's and someone's was brown and lots of over peoples were green. This is my copy of our hook sentences and a picture of the example tie dye milk.
Great hooks team! I loved all the different colours swirling on the plate. Maybe you can come and do this experiment with Room 5 and 6 to help them with their hooks.
