My Reading Week 4 2016

This is one of the activities I did on terrific traits about charlotte's web you had to choose the character trait that best describes the character. Also i'm on map 30 lesson 147 and i'm reading a book called gold it explains how vital gold is too poor countries, how gold mines wreck the environment and how they do not always benefit from the gold they produce. The advantages of gold mining include it provides roads, electricity, water facilities and railways for poor countries they use the money to build schools for the local communities and also fund new industries such as pig and fish farming. The disadvantage is  If its not done carefully gold mining can damage communities and there environment. Mining companies also send the wealth from mining to other countries this means the money is not spent locally so it does not provide more jobs and income for local people. Those are all the main facts in the book.

Reading T1 WK8

This is a screenshot of a reading activity we did this week based on inference.We were learning how to choose the most likely inference based on the facts in the text. It was really easy but the teacher helped us.

Swimming

this week Mrs Henderson took pictures of us swimming. I can do three full lengths of the pool without touching the ground we have been practicing keeping our arms straight and only doing small kicks which I can do. I am also training for a triathlon in April. I have to work on just rolling my head not my whole body when I take a breath. In backstroke my right arm is straight but then I bend my left arm so I need to work on that aswell.
