The first week of school!

Hi,
This week we have been really busy because it is the first week of school and Term 3!!! On Monday or Tuesday, we had to do a math test. It was about fractions and decimals. We were then put into math groups on Tuesday or Wednesday I am in Fractions 1 because I got 90% but it comes up with 80% and on my decimals I got 3 wrong and 95% on fractions I only got 1 wrong I need to work on slowing down and actually looking at the question otherwise I get the question wrong. We also have been learning about simple fractions. We had a sheet of simple fractions questions and I only got 2 wrong. Also in reading we are using thinking hats. Basically we read a story then we chose a thinking hat that goes with the story. The thinking hats are: thinking blue, creative green, benefits yellow, feelings red, judgement black and information white. Then we had to explain why we chose that thinking hat, we have to do at least 1 a week. We have been discussing in class fundraising ideas for our ski trip we are doing a Fun Food Friday which is like Fun Friday but we each get a country and have to cook food from that country and sell it in groups in my group is Stella, Cassandra, Willow, Matilda, Charlee and I. We are doing 2 countries thats why we have 6 people. Our 2 countries are Belgium and France. Also every class is dressing up as a country or an Olympic sport for our assembly for the Olympics. We are doing something called records day where basically there are lots of competitions and then the winners for each year group get a certificate. Well thats all thats happened this week apart from we have been working on our SAMR and we are nearly done.
