This week we have been doing report writing so we did a report on Rio De Janeiro!!! Because this year the Olympics are being held there. So in our report we had to search up information on Rio and its culture like traditional food, sports, landmarks and we had to put it in a report we could only use the most important information and we had to add the subheadings and with every subheading we needed a new paragraph. Here is my report.
Rio De Janeiro
Geographical
Rio De Janeiro or Rio for short, used to be the capital of brazil and has a population of 6.45 million this year. Rio is the second largest city in brazil with a Area of 1,225 Km2. On the south of Rio is the Atlantic Ocean and on the east is Guanabara bay and the west is covered by sepetiba.
Food
Feijoada, feijoa com arroz or beans and rice and Tutu a Mineira are some foods that are well known in Rio for their taste and are very popular. Feijoada is usually served on wednesdays and Saturdays and is made with meat and black beans. Tutu a Mineira is made with manioc flour and bean paste is served in all traditional Brazilian restaurants.
Sports
Football is the most popular sport in Brazil/Rio and they take it very seriously. they are also good at volleyball, martial arts, basketball and motor sports.
Landmarks
There are some amazing places in Rio like the statue of Christ Redeemer who is basically their Jesus Christ this is one of the main landmarks in Rio and is quite a sight.
