Synopsis: A young girl named Lyra's friend Roger went missing and she thinks he has been taken by the gobblers . Then she gets a weird object that helps her through her mission of finding her friend. On the way she meets an armored bear named Iorek who helps her fight off witches bears and other creatures.
Overall: This book is an adventure book, there are some confusing words and a couple of people/animals get killed.
